Overview of the Role:

The Sr GCP DevOps DATA Engineer plays a crucial role in building and managing data analytics and Data Engineering solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This position is essential for driving the company's data initiatives, ensuring the scalability and reliability of data processes, and contributing to the overall success of HCLTech's technology objectives.

Detailed Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement data solutions using GCP services such as BigQuery, Bigtable, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, DataProc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, and DataPrep.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and develop strategies for data collection, processing, and analysis.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Terraform to automate data workflows and ensure high-quality data processing.
• Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering practices and methodologies.

Skill Requirements:

Technical Skills:

• Extensive hands-on experience with GCP services including BigQuery, Bigtable, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, DataProc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, and DataPrep.
• Proficiency in using Terraform for infrastructure as code and GitHub for CI/CD.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, and SQL.
• Solid understanding of DataOps principles and practices.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills to handle multiple tasks and deliverables efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7+ years of practical experience in building data analytics and Data Engineering solutions.
• Relevant certifications in GCP and data engineering are highly desirable.
