Kforce has a client in Utah County that is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their team. Summary: As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping their data platform, working alongside a talented team of data scientists and engineers. Your primary focus will be designing, building, and optimizing robust datasets and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to process and integrate large-scale IoT (Internet of Things) data. Your contributions will ensure high-quality, structured data is available to power analytics, machine learning models, and personalized user experiences.* 4+ years of experience in data analysis or data engineering * Hands-on experience with Big Data/Hadoop applications * Experience working with various data formats (Parquet, Avro, JSON, XML, etc.) * Experience with Linux environments, batch automation, and shell scripting * Strong background in building and debugging production data pipelines * Knowledge of integrating multiple data sources and APIs * Expertise in distributed systems (pipelines and databases) * Proficiency in Spark, Hive, Kafka, and MapReduce * Proficiency in Python for data pipelines and automation (2+ years preferred) Nice to Have: * Experience working with IoT data * Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehousing solutions (Redshift, Snowflake)
