Senior Data Engineer - Krakow

Join one of our major Financial Clients in Krakow, be part of delivering precise, timely, and insightful data and management information to support Risk, Compliance, and Finance functions within a major financial organization. Leveraging advanced data architecture aligned with enterprise standards, we enhance risk management processes and regulatory compliance, including BCBS 239 and Basel III.

Role Overview:

Responsibilities include data ingestion from internal and external sources, quality measurement, and data visualization. Additional tasks involve peer benchmarking, platform security, capacity management, and collaboration on global risk data projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct data analysis, ensuring data robustness and suitability for purpose.
• Collaborate with model development and monitoring teams to understand data needs and governance.
• Contribute to data and business process architecture roadmap planning.
• Prepare and present materials for senior stakeholders and maintain strong cross-functional relationships.
• Identify and drive process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience in a similar role, with a bachelor’s degree in IT or a numerate field
• Minimum 7 years experience within Data Analytics.
• Proficiency in programming tools such as SAS, Python, PySpark, SQL,
• Skills in business analysis, data architecture comprehension, and project management.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilities.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Fluent in English
