Senior DATA Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building robust data pipelines and solutions using Snowflake, DBT, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, accurate, and scalable data delivery to support analytics, reporting, and business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and DBT.
• Manage and optimize data storage using Azure Data Lake and ensure secure data movement and access.
• Implement and maintain Snowflake data warehouses for efficient querying and performance.
• Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver timely solutions.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across all data platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues in a proactive and timely manner.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for data workflows, transformations, and architecture.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in Snowflake – data modeling, performance tuning, query optimization.
• Proficiency with DBT for data transformation and model versioning.
• Expertise in Azure Data Factory – pipelines, triggers, linked services, and integration runtimes.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake (ADLS Gen2 preferred).
• Strong SQL and Python skills for data extraction, transformation, and automation.
• Familiarity with data ingestion from various sources: Databases, APIs, Flat Files, JSON, XML.
• Good understanding of CI/CD processes and version control systems (e.g., Git).

Good to Have:

• Basic knowledge of Apache Airflow for orchestration.
• Experience with Power BI or other visualization tools.
• Exposure to data security and compliance frameworks.
