Main job duties and responsibilities:

1. Understand business requirements and translate them to technical specifications.
2. Work with stakeholders including executives and line managers to gather the analytical requirements and assist with data-related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs.
3. Create and maintain optimal data architectural design.
4. Gather large complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
5. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
6. Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data (ETL) from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and big data technologies.
7. Conduct periodic meetings with business teams to validate results and projects’ deliverables
8. Monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
9. Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing ETL solutions.
10. Gather and evaluate users’ feedback.
11. Saving technical documentation for reference and reporting.
12. Identify data discrepancies and develop data metrics.
13. Perform all additional tasks that might be necessary for easier workflow, within the main frame of the job’s specialty

Job requirements:

1. MSc. Computer Science, BSc. Computer Engineering or equivalent.
2. Proven experience in Data Warehouse (DWH) design and implementation.
3. Minimum 3 years’ experience in data engineering or similar role.
4. Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL server.
5. Strong knowledge in developing complex SQL Queries, Stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
6. Strong analytical skills related to structured or unstructured data sets.
7. Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to details.
8. Experience in building operational ETL data pipelines from several disparate sources.
9. Strong working experience with SSIS / ADF
10. Strong working experience with SSAS / AAS.
11. Experienced in designing reports in SSRS.
12. Experience with Tableau is a plus. 10. Experience with Data Mining is a plus.
