Senior Data Consultant – BI & Data Architecture (Telecom)

About the Role:

We are seeking a Medior to Senior Data Consultant with strong technical expertise and a proven track record in business intelligence, data warehousing, and data modelling. This role is embedded in the mobile telecommunications sector, supporting initiatives to enhance data capabilities, reporting structures, and architectural blueprints. The consultant will lead discussions with stakeholders, analyse complex data environments, and deliver structured insights and models that guide long-term strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct workshops and stakeholder interviews covering both technical and business topics.
• Analyse and assess BI, data warehouse, and reporting environments.
• Design and apply Data Vault modelling approaches aligned with business needs and architecture standards.
• Develop strategic data blueprints that integrate technical findings with business requirements.
• Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and business analysts to align on deliverables and timelines.
• Provide guidance on industry best practices, particularly in telecom data architecture and analytics.

Required Experience & Skills:

• 8–12 years of experience in data consulting, data engineering, or BI architecture.
• Deep knowledge of BI and data warehousing principles, including ETL/ELT processes and reporting frameworks.
• Solid experience with Data Vault modelling and related architecture frameworks.
• Proven ability to synthesize technical and business findings into clear models, roadmaps, and documentation.
• Excellent workshop facilitation and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the telecommunications sector is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Snowflake, Informatica, Azure Data Services, or similar.
• Fluent in English (French or Dutch is a bonus).
