A Typical Day
Perform ad hoc data analysis and develop report protocols using SQL and Python. Automate data extraction for reporting and create data dictionaries to streamline further analysis. Use Excel and Python for statistical analysis to identify patterns in loan insurance timing, borrower delinquency, and prepayment rates. Establish data connections between platforms, visualize and model data, and evaluate different data models. Interpret and integrate research data into strategic decision-making. Collaborate with cross- functional teams for statistical analysis reports. Understand business lines and mortgage life-cycle to develop data monitoring tools. Provide analytical support and recommendations to senior management. Develop business requirements for recurring reports, optimize SQL stored procedures, and create self-serve reports. Prepare PowerPoint presentations to share findings and recommendations. Design dashboards to highlight company strengths, opportunities, weaknesses, and threats. Maintain and update reports, and present results to senior management. Stay informed on industry trends and provide data-driven insights. Document and communicate new reporting workflows. Create data dictionaries, test results against existing reports, and perform regression tests to ensure consistency. Present solutions to stakeholders and senior management. Position also requires up to 10% domestic travel to various worksites.
What You’ll Bring
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field, plus two (2) years of post-baccalaureate experience as a Data Analyst, Market Data Analyst, or related role. Experience must include developing ad-hoc queries, reports, and tools; creating operational efficiencies; creating data visualization and data modeling for decision-making; and building a SQL database. Position also requires up to 10% domestic travel to various worksites.

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:
- Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
- Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role
- Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role
Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
