Technologies: Snowflake, dbt, SQL, Python, Data Warehousing, Master Data Management (MDM)

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Analyst / Business Analyst with over a decade of experience, including significant exposure to the insurance industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in data analysis, data cataloging and business analysis, with a strong understanding of platforms like Snowflake and dbt. This role is instrumental in driving data initiatives that align technical solutions with business goals, ensuring high-quality delivery across analytics and data engineering efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead requirement gathering and business analysis across key insurance domains including Customer, Product, and Policy Administration.

• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of data pipeline projects using Snowflake, dbt, and SQL, working closely with data engineers and solution architects.

• Translate complex business needs into scalable and optimized data models and transformation logic using dbt.

• Facilitate project planning, prioritization, and triage meetings with both business and IT stakeholders.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to define, validate, and refine business logic and reporting requirements.

• Drive and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business expectations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics or a related discipline.

• 10+ years of experience in data analysis/business analysis, with a strong focus on insurance (life or health).

• At least 5 years of experience working on projects involving Snowflake and dbt, managing data pipelines.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python

• Strong experience in documentation including BRDs, data dictionaries, lineage diagrams, and process flows.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface confidently with both technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Data Analysis using SQL, Python

• Data Modeling (must)

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, and modern CI/CD practices.

• Exposure to Master Data Management (MDM) solutions and data quality tools
