What’s the role?
Based in Sydney, you'll be at the core of our Consumer Finance team, working full-time to develop and implement credit risk strategies. Your role involves analysing data, refining credit policies, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure we stay within our risk appetite while delivering top-notch customer experiences. You'll be hands-on with credit-related tools and processes, maintaining and calibrating scorecards, decision engines, and system rules. Plus, you'll keep an eye on regulatory and industry developments to proactively address challenges and opportunities, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the industry.
What do I need?
Our ideal candidate will have prior expertise in a risk management role within consumer finance products, in particular credit cards, personal loans and auto-finance. We’re looking for someone who has:
- A working knowledge of Australian regulatory environment related to consumer credit (APS220, NCCP, BCP).
- Good understanding of credit risk models, credit policy development and credit risk technology (credit decision engines such as PowerCurve and Triad).
- Analytical expertise (SAS, SQL, R, Python) and the ability to visualise data insights (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense) to tell a story.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills for cross-team collaboration, including operations partners, legal, and compliance.
