The Senior Corporate Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger system, preparing financial analyses, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

The ideal candidate will have exposure to monthly closing processes, reconciliations, financial statements and US GAAP. Great location in downtown Austin.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements in compliance with GAAP
• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a periodic basis to ensure accuracy
• Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close
• Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes
• Research and analyze expense variances for company management
• Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional accounting experience
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
