Job Description
We seek an experienced Senior Copy Writer / Editor with a talent for crafting persuasive and compelling copy tailored for a variety of channels. The position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to edit and write short and long-form content for B2B SaaS products and platforms, focusing on the US market. Writers who rely extensively on AI or ChatGPT for content creation are not encouraged.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Content: Develop and write engaging and persuasive copy for social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, YouTube, Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, X), including posts, captions, and ads.
- Website Content: Write and edit website copy for landing pages, product descriptions, and other web content to enhance user engagement and drive conversions.
- Email Marketing: Create and edit compelling email copy for newsletters, promotional campaigns, and drip sequences, ensuring high open and click-through rates.
- Paid Advertising: Develop concepts and write persuasive copy for digital advertising campaigns, including LinkedIn, Google Ads, display ads, and retargeting campaigns.
- SEO Content: Research and write SEO-friendly content for websites and blogs to improve organic rankings and increase visibility on search engines.
- Content Proofreading & Editing: Proofread and edit content created by other team members to ensure clarity, coherence, and consistency in style and tone.
- Content Strategy: Contribute to developing content calendars, campaign strategies, and creative concepts to meet marketing goals.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze content performance data to make informed improvements and recommendations.
- Brand Voice Maintenance: Maintain and enhance the company’s brand voice, ensuring consistency across all communication channels.
- Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and audience preferences to create relevant and innovative content.
- Internal Communications: Create and edit content for internal company newsletters, departmental communications, and the company portal to keep staff informed and engaged.
- External Communications: Write and edit content for external newsletters, press releases, and platform communications to effectively convey the company’s message and updates.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in writing and editing persuasive copy, particularly for digital marketing, B2B SaaS products, and platforms targeting the US market.
- Strong command of American Business English, with exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tools, including social media platforms and SEO best practices.
- Ability to create content for diverse industries and senior audience levels.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with A/B testing, performance tracking, and content optimization.
- Experience in paid search and social media advertising copy.
- Knowledge of emerging trends in digital marketing and content strategies.
- Experience in the Marketing, Advertising, and Data industry is a plus.
- Should be able to relocate to Mysore.
- Should be able to work in 3 PM(ET) shifts.
