Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead, support, and optimize automation systems across our state-of-the-art manufacturing lines. The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, and ready to take ownership of both independent projects and the mentorship of junior engineers. This is a key technical role with direct impact on the efficiency, safety, and reliability of pharmaceutical liquid packaging operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, configure, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMI systems
- Lead diagnostics and root-cause analysis on complex electrical and control system issues
- Maintain, upgrade, and optimize automated manufacturing lines to improve productivity and compliance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with maintenance, production, and quality teams
- Coach, mentor, and support junior engineers to foster technical growth and best practices
- Develop and maintain documentation including control schematics, wiring diagrams, and software logs
- Drive continuous improvement and contribute to capital project planning and execution
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in a controls engineering role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong proficiency in Allen-Bradley PLC programming (RSLogix/Studio 5000), HMI development, and industrial networks
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and maintain automated packaging or production systems
- Excellent communication and leadership skills; experience mentoring or coaching peers or junior staff
- Experience in pharmaceutical or FDA-regulated manufacturing preferred
Work Schedule & Flexibility

- On-site presence required during key operational hours
