Lead the installation and configuration of HPE Synergy and ProLiant hardware, ensuring optimal performance and integration.
Plan and execute the migration of ESXi from 7.x to 8.x, including cluster resizing and workload balancing.
Optimize and manage VMware vSphere environments, ensuring best practices for high availability and performance.
Lead VMware Cluster re-design efforts ensuring optimal sizing while ensuring maximum performance.
Work with Pure Storage solutions to ensure seamless storage integration and performance tuning.
Configure and manage Cisco MDS storage networking, including zoning, security, and performance tuning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess infrastructure needs, design solutions, and implement upgrades.
Develop automation scripts and workflows for streamlined deployment and management of virtualization infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with industry best practices, security policies, and operational procedures.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technical staff.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
A Master's degree is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in compute and virtualization engineering, with a focus on HPE Synergy, ProLiant hardware, and VMware vSphere.
Certifications:
VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), and HPE ASE - Synergy Solutions Integrator certifications are highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
Strong knowledge of HPE Synergy and ProLiant hardware.
Experience with Pure Storage solutions.
Expertise in Cisco MDS storage networking, including zoning and security.
Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and performance.
