LOCATION: 100% Remote

PAY RATE: $60-$70/Hour W2

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: W2 Only

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the installation and configuration of HPE Synergy and ProLiant hardware, ensuring optimal performance and integration.
• Plan and execute the migration of ESXi from 7.x to 8.x, including cluster resizing and workload balancing.
• Optimize and manage VMware vSphere environments, ensuring best practices for high availability and performance.
• Lead VMware Cluster re-design efforts ensuring optimal sizing while ensuring maximum performance.
• Work with Pure Storage solutions to ensure seamless storage integration and performance tuning.
• Configure and manage Cisco MDS storage networking, including zoning, security, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess infrastructure needs, design solutions, and implement upgrades.
• Develop automation scripts and workflows for streamlined deployment and management of virtualization infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with industry best practices, security policies, and operational procedures.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technical staff.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A Master's degree is a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in compute and virtualization engineering, with a focus on HPE Synergy, ProLiant hardware, and VMware vSphere.

Certifications:

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), and HPE ASE - Synergy Solutions Integrator certifications are highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
• Strong knowledge of HPE Synergy and ProLiant hardware.
• Experience with Pure Storage solutions.
• Expertise in Cisco MDS storage networking, including zoning and security.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and performance.
