The Senior Compliance Analyst will provide advanced compliance support and oversight across all areas of life insurance company operations. This individual will lead complex compliance initiatives, conduct in-depth regulatory research, and serve as a subject matter expert on legal and regulatory matters affecting the company. The ideal candidate will possess a strong command of life insurance regulations and demonstrate expertise in maintaining and promoting regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide compliance support related to all SBLI products.
• Monitor and interpret federal and state regulatory changes; distribute updates and recommend operational changes. Support and meet with impacted departments.
• Conduct complex regulatory research and provide strategic legal and compliance advice.
• Perform compliance reviews, suitability evaluations, and process audits across business functions.
• Research, generate reports and lead regularly scheduled Replacement Committee meetings.
• Oversee the Company’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Program, including monitoring and reporting.
• Manage the Company’s Records Retention Program and ensure policy alignment with legal mandates.
• Lead policy updates for Sales Market Conduct, AML, and other governance documentation.
• Perform reviews of advertising and marketing materials; maintain the advertising review system.
• Provide assistance to the Legal Department staff as needed.
• Represent the Compliance Department in cross-functional projects and regulatory examinations.
Qualifications:
• Juris doctorate (JD) or eligible for a juris doctorate in 2025.
• Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Strong regulatory and legal research skills required.
• Deep knowledge of insurance regulations, market conduct, and corporate governance.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• High ethical standards and demonstrated sound judgment.
• Professional insurance designations are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of life insurance products and operations is a plus.
• Experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Microsoft Co-Pilot).
