Role Overview:
The Senior Executive will serve as an integral member of the Coding, Compliance and Education
(CC&E) department. The ideal candidate will draw from existing expertise in primary care and
specialty medical coding and will be responsible for performing retrospective and prospective coding
and documentation audit reviews. This candidate will serve as the main contact for providers to
address questions related to coding and documentation in the medical record and will be
responsible for additional projects based on the needs of the CC&E department.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs provider coding and documentation audit reviews
- Researches and answers questions for the resolution queries from providers and coding staff
- Assists in creating provider audit summary reports within Power BI
- Creates Power Point Presentations for individual or group educations
- Completes special projects
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in coding and documenting (Provider)
- Clear and concise oral and written communication skills
- Self-directed with the ability to take initiative
- Organized and meticulous
- Ability to apply judgment and make informed decisions
Education & Certification Requirements
- AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
- Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) preferred
- Extensive knowledge of official coding conventions and rules established by the American
- Medical Association (AMA), and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for
- assignment of diagnostic and procedural codes.
- Excellent Computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with Power Point
- Presentations.
