CMI Group Sr. CNC programmer / Engineering Lead
Location: On-site required in South Phoenix, 1515 W 17th St, Tempe, AZ 85281
Shift: Full time, exempt
Bonus: Eligible for Quarterly Bonus Program, up to $300 per quarter!
Due to ITAR, all employees must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Responsibilities:
Manages engineering priorities set by management
Develop new CNC programs based on engineering drawings and models
Create standard work instructions to assist with the setup of new programs and existing programs
Prior experience working with complex parts and designs
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Choose appropriate tooling for machining operations with correct cutting parameters
Ability to create fixtures, part-holding and machining processes from customer supplied blueprints and models to program machine & make parts according to specification
Ability to create in-process inspection to ensure quality
Trouble shoot CNC programs and implement process improvements
Work with engineering to overcome any issues with process or fixtures
Edit and convert existing programs for different machines
Develop and integrate programming techniques that will enhance process productivity and quality
Navigate MRP system
Basic Qualifications:
The Ideal candidate should have prior work experience in the aerospace industry
Minimum 5 years programming experience on 3, 4 and 5-Axis CNC Mills
Must have strong machining background
Ability to interpret manufacturing work instructions and M.O.T. sketches
Must have thorough understanding of CNC machine function and G-Code language including machine probing
Work independently while maintaining a clean and safe work area
Must have knowledge of Cutting tools and Standard Machining practices
Must be able read blueprints and understand GD&T
Must have strong knowledge in various PC applications such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to spend up to 9 hours a day at a work station
