This role is responsible for programming, set-up, and production processes for proto-type, complex, and tight tolerance parts. Must have ability to produce proto-type parts with little margin for error. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while mindful of project due dates. 

Responsibilities

• Program CNC machines for new parts and optimize existing programs.

• Ability to write programs for proto-type, complex and tight tolerance parts.

• Read work order, flow sheets and part drawing to determine all aspects of the job to be manufactured.  

• Develop machining processes with a focus on automation and high-speed manufacturing.

• Design, create, and manufacture advanced fixtures with ability to use with or without automation.

• Design and create custom tool holders, custom cutters, custom work-holding 

• Oversee projects from start to finish including, programming, set-up, troubleshooting, and production.

• Measure parts using manual inspection tools and equipment for first article parts and in process inspections during the production run.  

• Diagnose production issues and make edits to program at machine when required.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Solidworks and Mastercam.

• Proficient with 5-axis programming and operation.

•  Proficient with setup on 3, 4 and 5 axis machines.
