At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our UniQue team.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Design, build, and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Maven, SonarQube for efficient and automated software deployment
• Provide deployment support across environments, leveraging Red Hat Cluster Manager for orchestration and Openshift/Kubernetes for containerization and application deployment
• Work with Docker and Openshift to build, deploy, and manage containerized applications
• Configure and support ServiceMesh technology, ensuring secure and efficient service communication in microservices architectures
• Handle deployments and builds in an on-prem VMware environment
• Participate in design discussions and provide technical recommendations for CI/CD, infrastructure, and application deployment
• Provide ongoing support for applications after deployment, including troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimization
• Leverage tools such as SonarQube for quality assurance, ensuring the integrity and security of deployed code
• Provide hands-on support to the deployment team, including participating in troubleshooting sessions and reviewing infrastructure-related documentation
• Interpret the application development, operations, and infrastructure implications of proposed solutions
• Utilize architect solutions to implement end-to-end technology solutions that address client business challenges
• Assess and optimize IT infrastructure, operations, and service delivery to improve efficiency and performance
• Assist in designing and managing the implementation of new technologies, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project objectives
  
  

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this position?

• At least 10 years of experience in a relevant industry, business consulting, or technical consulting
• Strong experience with Continuous Integration of Java applications with Maven (GitHub Actions / Jenkins / Maven / SonarQube)
• Advanced experience with container orchestration and deployment (Kubernetes, Service mesh, Helm)
• Strong experience with Artefact repositories (Artifactory, Nexus)
• Experience with Cloud infrastructure and cloud platforms
• Strong interest in infrastructure technologies and willingness to learn
• Experience in data networking technologies including protocols, design, security and business continuity preferred
• Experience of working in an agile software development environment
• Knowledge of security best practices and tools
