As a Senior Cloud Data Engineer, you'll play a critical role at the intersection of technology and strategy-driving the design, development, migration, and operation of scalable, cloud-first data solutions. What We Offer:• $120,000 - $130,000 per year depending on experience• FREE UTI or Concorde Tuition for you AND your Immediate Family• Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Ins/STD & LTD Ins• 401K, Paid Holidays, Paid Time Off• Paid Parental Leave Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Solution Delivery * Lead as a senior developer in data engineering and operational projects, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and best practice-compliant execution * Implement and execute end-to-end data solutions in collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams * Deliver all solutions and code in alignment with departmental standards and company security guidelines * Understand business processes and integrate those considerations-especially production support-into solution design Cloud & Data Platform Expertise * Demonstrate deep expertise in cloud technologies, particularly within Microsoft Azure ecosystem (ADF, ADLS, Synapse, VMs, SQL Server, Event Hub, etc.) * Apply advanced knowledge of cloud architecture and data engineering best practices to build scalable, secure, and efficient systems Mentorship & Cross-Team Collaboration * Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership to database developers and engineers across teams and projects * Promote growth of internal talent by supporting upskilling on new and emerging technologies * Foster collaboration across business units to ensure alignment of technical solutions with enterprise goals Qualifications Education / Experience * Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience with demonstrated ability required * Minimum of eight (5) years of experience in engineering and managing cloud and on-premises infrastructure technologies, encompassing IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, with proven expertise across various current technology domains. * Azure Certifications Preferred: Azure Fundamentals, Azure Administrator, Azure Network Engineer, or equivalent * Working knowledge of ITIL disciplines preferred * Working knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, FERPA, GLBA, PCI, etc.) as they relate to data integrity and privacy preferred Skills Communication & Leadership Excellence * Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills * Excellent judgment and organizational skills * Independent ability to use good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills * Strong self-sufficiency and initiative on projects * Excellent at identifying and marshaling resources for action * Ability to gain, understand, and apply information related to IT Technical & Architectural Expertise * Expert knowledge of database technology and concepts * Expert knowledge of scripting languages such as Python * Strong knowledge of system integration designs and architectures * Expert knowledge in data warehouse and data management concepts, including data modeling * Expert knowledge in ETL (extract, transform and load), ELT (extract, load and transform), data ingestion, data integration and data validation processes * Expert in designing solutions using frameworks, and in using Apache Spark framework and APIs, and PySpark * Working knowledge of virtual server technology * Broad knowledge of Windows systems, operating system principles, and programming best practices Project Management & Execution Agility * Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), especially Agile * Project planning and execution skills including estimating and scheduling * Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and deliver high-quality work under tight schedules * Adaptability in fast-paced and changing environments * Ability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly About us: Join Our Legacy at Universal Technical Institute, Inc.
