Position Description:

Responsible for implementing and supporting advanced Cisco security solutions for our customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and implement comprehensive Cisco security solutions including Secure Firewall, Defense Orchestrator, Duo, and Breach Protection Security Suite.
• Conduct project planning, kickoff meetings, and regular status updates with customers.
• Create detailed network architecture diagrams and security implementation plans.
• Perform migrations from existing security infrastructure to new Cisco solutions.
• Configure security policies, zones, interfaces, and advanced features.
• Test and validate implemented security solutions.
• Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to customer teams.
  
  

Other Responsibilities:

• Support existing client network infrastructure with a focus on security systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network security issues in a timely manner.
• Perform security assessments and recommend improvements.
• Implement security patches and updates.
• Respond to security incidents and escalations.
• Stay current with emerging security threats and Cisco technology advancements.
• Maintain and upgrade professional certifications.
• Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge base.
• Some travel may be required for on-site client implementations (approximately 20%).
• Occasional after-hours work required for planned maintenance and implementations.
• On-call rotation for emergency security incidents (approximately one week every 6-8 weeks).
  
  

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in network security engineering with a focus on Cisco technologies
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security
• Cisco Certified Specialist - Security Core
• At least one of the following specialty certifications:
• Cisco Certified Specialist – Firewall
• Cisco Certified Specialist - Identity Management
• Expert knowledge of Cisco Secure Firewall platforms and Threat Defense
• Strong experience with Cisco Defense Orchestrator
• Proficient with multi-factor authentication solutions, particularly Cisco Duo
• Familiarity with Cisco Breach Protection Security Suite
• Advanced networking knowledge (routing, switching, VPN, NAT)
• Proficiency in network troubleshooting and packet analysis
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred
