About the role:

We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior Change Management Advisor to help shape how change happens at Unitywater. Someone who knows that successful change is not just delivered — it’s adopted, embedded, and owned by the business. Someone who can build a change practice that is about enabling meaningful experiences and empowering people to do their best work.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in designing and delivering inclusive, people-focused change that supports our transformation journey and empowers our teams to adopt new ways of working.

Working across the business, you'll lead the development and adoption of change management strategies that make change visible early, build readiness, and support lasting adoption. You’ll guide a wide range of initiatives, from large-scale transformation to smaller tactical changes, ensuring the experience of change is positive and impactful for everyone. You’ll lead the design and delivery of change approaches that are practical, human, and grounded in real business needs.

As a senior member of the Transformation and Change Office, you’ll have a unique opportunity to establish a fit-for-purpose internal change practice from the ground up — one that strengthens our culture, accelerates adoption, and puts people at the centre of everything we do.

About you:

Our One Unitywater behaviours - Create the Future, Care Together, and Own It – define how we work together at Unitywater. To contribute to this, you will demonstrate the following skills and qualities for the role:

Change Management Expertise

  • Skilled in tailoring change methodologies (e.g. PROSCI, Kotter, ADKAR) to suit organisational needs and maturity.
  • Strong practical delivery across diverse project types and scales, with a benefits-led approach to driving adoption and value realisation.
  • A deep understanding of how change is experienced by people — and a proven ability to make it easier, more empowering, and more sustainable.

Leadership & Influence

  • Confident communicator and facilitator with exceptional interpersonal, coaching, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to lead in cross-functional, fast-paced environments, preparing the business for concurrent change while building internal capability.

Strategic Thinking & Execution

  • An outcome-oriented mindset with the ability to think strategically and execute hands-on.
  • Experienced in planning and prioritising in ambiguous or evolving environments.
  • Commercially aware, outcomes-focused, and highly organised with strong attention to detail.

Tools & Technical Skills

  • Proficient in project and change tools such as Microsoft Project, Miro, JIRA, Azure DevOps, and the Microsoft Office suite and other user experience centric tools.
