We are On-Hertz, Belgian pioneers in audio-first production software.
Our mission is to amplify your production capabilities, enabling our customers to deliver outstanding live broadcasting anytime, anywhere, at any size.
Leading broadcasters trust our software to innovate their processes, reduce complexity, and increase efficiency.
With On-Hertz, you can future-proof and amplify your broadcast production to meet both creative and economic demands.
Your main objective will be to revolutionize the broadcast and media sectors with us by creating innovative products and services tailored to both content creators (journalists, sports commentators, radio hosts...) and operations engineers.
Development and maintenance of backend (micro)services: you will collaborate on the development of services deployed on on-premises servers or in cloud environments. These services are cross-platform, Windows and Linux, and are designed to be portable to other platforms in the future.
Development of audio and video processing…and much more: you will work on real-time audio/video processing, JSON API servers, hardware controller interfaces, third-party control protocol translation, and various IP-based media transport protocols. We guarantee you won't be bored !
Integration of third-party libraries: diving into the source code of third-party libraries doesn’t scare you. Your experience with CMake will be valuable to ensure smooth integration and cross-platform compatibility.
Product deployment: you will help maintaining the CI/CD pipeline, develop Docker containers, deployment scripts and Windows installer.
At least 5-years’ experience in a similar position: you will need a deep mastery of C++ and a solid understanding of x86 systems, networking, and Linux. You’re comfortable working with complex software architectures where performance and reliability are non-negotiable.
Proactive and autonomous: you take initiative and work independently. In a partially remote, you know when to dig deep on your own, and when to reach out for input or support.
Enthusiastic and persevering: as the broadcast industry is undergoing a deep transformation and is moving towards IT-based software infrastructures, you’re excited to work on solutions that are technically demanding, forward-looking, and impactful.
Team spirit and professionalism: we value autonomy and initiative in a collaborative environment. Our team may be small, but it’s young and dynamic. Flexible working hours are supported by a culture of individual accountability. You're not just writing code, you're making sure the product truly delivers for its users.
