Senior Business Manager, Foodstuffs – DKSH New Zealand

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Business Manager, Foodstuffs to lead our National Foodstuffs account team. In this role, you will drive outstanding sales performance, foster key relationships with Foodstuffs North & South Island, and develop growth strategies to maximise business opportunities in the FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing national account team to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Manage and strengthen strategic partnerships with Foodstuffs North & South Island, ensuring collaboration and business growth
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to enhance distribution, presence, and display quality
  • Monitor financial performance, trade spend, and customer insights to drive informed decision-making
  • Ensure the Joint Business Planning (JBP) process is effectively executed to deliver strategic growth
  • Identify market trends, competitor insights, and opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the team to ensure engagement, performance, and business success


What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a senior sales or account management role within the FMCG industry
  • Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of P&L, sales strategies, and financial performance metrics
  • Exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at senior levels
  • Experience working with major retailers, ideally Foodstuffs, and a solid understanding of the New Zealand grocery landscape
  • Strong leadership, people management, and team development skills, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Analytical mindset with experience using Aztec, Nielsen, or other industry data tools
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach and the ability to navigate a fast-paced environment
