Role Overview

As a Senior Technical Services Consultant, you will work to solve complex technical problems and design robust solutions that provide our customers with data that drives important business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Delivery

  • Deliver client solutions using the Kantata Professional Services methodology and coordinate activities with the assigned Project Manager, including providing clear input on technical roles and responsibilities, timelines, and deliverables
  • Lead data conversion and interface & integration activities; gather requirements, produce business requirement and design documentation, configure/build system interfaces & integrations, support client UAT and troubleshoot integration issues
  • Lead technical workstream aspects of Solution Integration Workshops with both client and 3rd party System Integrators
  • Create solution scoping documents and validate and approve those produced by Technical Consultants prior to Architectural Review
  • Configure technical solutions based on client requirements including performing Customization of Standard Salesforce Features, creating and editing Out-of-the-Box Kantata SX Event Class based using advanced techniques, and configuring Data Migration prerequisites and Inbound Interface Request Fields
  • Provide training and insight into the Kantata SX led data migration activities
  • Identify risks in technical workstreams including scope creep and raise them to the Project Manager
  • Facilitate conversations related to solution architecture and system landscape and integrations with 3rd party applications (e.g., JIRA, NetSuite, Intacct)
  • Understand Kantata‘s technology, product offerings and industries served; collaborate with the project team and customer to understand all technical aspects and ensure the quality of the deliverable
  • Identify, assess and solve complex business problems; understand client business requirements and objectives while ensuring alignment with the Kantata solution to drive desired business results
  • Ability to effectively manage own tasks, task timelines and estimated remaining effort within large services implementations and across multiple projects
  • Experience driving the discovery and solutioning process with enterprise customers

Tool Development

  • Contribute to the consultant tool set by identifying trends and support internal documentation, development projects and process improvements. Ability to innovate new solutions
  • Gather requirements across customer implementations and internal teams to help drive the process of identifying and solutioning new tools for process improvement

Practice Development

  • Contribute to the collective learning of Kantata, seeking opportunities to identify and disseminate improvements to organizational methodology, processes and practices
  • Actively participate in the ongoing improvement of the Kantata product suite and the services implementation methodology to build and share repeatable processes and quality deliverables that may be leveraged across multiple projects to increase speed and reduce costs
  • Proactively identify areas of team and process improvement and efficiency
  • Contribute to and advise the product and support teams on the revisions of Point-to-Point integrations in customer solutions (acting as the Subject Matter Expert)

Qualifications

Experience - Technical

  • Experience working with relational databases and data interdependence
  • Experience working with REST APIs and JSON data structures
  • Demonstrated technical skills and project implementation experience designing, configuring, and deploying SaaS based software solutions
  • Experience with enterprise architecture, systems architecture, integration architecture and data architecture standards, frameworks, and practices

Experience – Non-Technical

  • Experience with software implementations, understanding of SDLC and the ability to execute to project plans, produce client facing deliverables
  • Ability to document technical specifications
  • A natural client services mentality; the consistent ability to keep the needs of the client at the forefront of your actions
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment while also seeking guidance as needed
  • A willingness to tackle difficult and complex problems
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Capacity to react quickly to problems as they arise and meet deadlines under pressure

Qualifications

  • BA/BS computer science or engineering degree or equivalent working experience
  • 5+ years industry experience in a customer-facing technical field such as professional services, engineering, consulting or technical support
  • 5+ years experience in technical deployment and project implementation for on-premise/cloud-based commercial software applications, such as ERP, CRM, CMS or similar systems
  • Broad technical knowledge of internet based products and technologies


Additional Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with Salesforce and the Force.com platform including experience creating custom fields and Salesforce Administration
  • Experience with Salesforce/Tableau/Good Data reporting infrastructure
  • Experience creating, testing, and deploying APEX triggers and classes
  • Experience working with or integrating other applications with Accounting and Finance systems
  • Experience with Professional Services Automation concepts and tools
