About the Role:

As a Senior BI and Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in RWS’s drive to maximise profitability. Your technical/systems skills, inquisitive mindset and analytical acumen will contribute to the precision and efficacy of financial decision-making within the organisation.

Please note: This is a 6 months Contract role

Responsibilities:

• Develop and build dashboards and visualizations in Sisense or similar BI tools.
• Identify, analyse and interpret data trends or patterns in detailed complex data sets - provide insightful profitability and cost management reports – across customers, operations, projects, geographies, etc. to support growth and efficiency initiatives
• Build strong stakeholder relationships in order to understand business challenges and collaboratively define and document precise business requirements for specific projects
• Working with the data and analytics team and wider business to source data and land into analytics warehouse.
• Support accuracy & integrity of data source, analysis and reporting, working closely with Group Finance and cross functional teams.
• Provide mentorship to junior colleagues within Data & Analytics

Skills & Experience:

• Must have +10 years experience in a SENIOR BI and Data Analyst role
• Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and relational data models as well as knowledge in business analysis, analysing large data sets and information management
• Advanced command of Excel, T-SQL and BI software (ideally Sisense, Power BI or similar)
• Analytical aptitude and interest in interrogating data to develop hypotheses and insights in mathematics, statistics, economics or other data-intensive fields
• Strong problem-solving abilities involving identifying the root cause of problems, assessing risks/impacts and determining and implementing effective solutions
• Excellent attention to detail and high standards of presentation
• Experience in data modelling, and simplifying complex data into compelling, clear, and actionable insights using Excel and reporting tools desirable
• Proactive and forward thinking
• Ability to contribute both independently and as part of a team
• Strong presentation skills and an ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical audiences in a clear, simple way, both written and verbally
