MCG Talent have partnered with a globally established crypto/blockchain firm to identify a Senior Backend Developer to join their expanding team in Hong Kong.

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be part of a team that design, develop, maintain, and improve software for various ventures projects. You will be actively involved in the design of various components behind scalable applications, from frontend UI to backend infrastructure.

A must for this profile will have strong knowledge in Rust and/or Solana.

What You'll Need To Do:

• Engage in backend development activities, including proposing architectural decisions, participating in design discussions, conducting design and code reviews, and implementing products that connect the platform with developers and end-users.
• Create prototypes for new ideas suggested by you and your team.
• Take ownership of your projects, with the freedom to explore new technologies and approaches.
• Identify challenges and develop solutions for complex issues within large-scale backend infrastructure and mobile platforms.
• Manage documentation for all implemented code and functionalities.
• Collaborate closely with DevOps and mobile engineers to enhance the tech stack for long-term engineering initiatives.

Who We Are Looking For:

• 6+ years of experience in backend development. Familiarity with blockchain technology is a plus.
• Passionate about building top-tier products that address real-world problems. You should have experience with various technologies, be self-motivated, a quick learner, and possess a "get things done" mentality.
• Open-minded and humble, willing to embrace better ideas from others, eager to improve, and ready to tackle challenges and explore new possibilities.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage conflicting requirements from diverse stakeholders.
• Proficient in scalability, security, and performance optimization.
• Advanced knowledge and extensive experience with server-side programming languages (e.g., NestJS, Node.js, Python, Java).
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks and technologies is a plus (e.g., Next.js, React.js).
• Experience with AI code generation tools is a bonus (e.g., Amazon Q Developer, GitHub Copilot, Cursor.com, Aider).
• Experience in mobile development (iOS/Android) is advantageous (e.g., Swift, Java, Kotlin).
• Experience in blockchain development is a plus (e.g., Ethermint, Cosmos SDK).
