Job Responsibilities:
- Creating test strategies, test plans, and test scripts for both automated and manual testing.
- Developing scalable and reliable automated tests and frameworks.
- Contributing to implement repeatable automated tests during sprints to ensure quality, reduce test execution time, & incorporate automated tests into CI/CD processes.
- Working in a dedicated squad team and helping to drive product quality.
- Ensuring all assigned testing deliverables timelines are met within the sprint and product release.
- Creating and communicating test reports for stakeholders such as the principal engineer, product owner, scrum master, & release management.
- Liaising with business users, business analysts and engineers to ensure that any assigned defects are resolved.
- Promoting productivity through test automation tools, methodologies and best practices.
- Adapting Smartgroup new way of working, finding ways to continually improve, and actively participating in squad events.
- Maintaining awareness of external environments and trends in testing, in order to contribute to the improvement of Smartgroup testing processes and assets.
- Planning the budget and labor needs of each sprint and product releases.
Qualifications:
•Experience in automated testing including planning, test case design, test reporting, defect tracking, estimating and test coverage.
•Experience working with external parties & vendors.
•At least 4 years of automation testing experience.
•Demonstrated capability to learn and understand a business and its processes and systems in depth
•Experience with automated testing tools (e.g. Playwright, Selenium, Java, Maven, & Postman.
•Demonstrated skills with REST and SOAP webservices, & API testing
•Familiarity with Azure DevOps Pipelines and parallel test execution
•Experience testing web, mobile and windows applications.
•Ability to work across multiple products / platforms / squads.
•Agile methodologies.
•Regular use of a defect and test management system such as JIRA, Confluence & SharePoint
