With expertise in planning, designing, scheduling, and controlling Manufacturing Systems projects and process improvements, this individual plays a critical role in achieving key performance indicators while actively supporting wider company initiatives.


Role and responsibilities

In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:



  • Installs equipment and control systems and helps determine reliability and need for updates.
  • Documents automation project requirements in support of project management, process improvements and maintenance.
  • Conducts routine assessments to determine regulatory compliance and any necessary improvements for regulation conformity.
  • Completes automation deliverables and ensures adherence to expected deadlines.
  • Analyzes complex changes in scope, including provision of necessary information to support claims for time and cost impact.
  • Communicates with subject matter experts regarding workflow and project deliverables internally and externally.
  • Coaches more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities.
  • Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with the team.
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
  • Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed


how to succeed


  • 2 years industry experience in life science or related industry
  • Education Requirements: Hons Degree in Engineering, Science or a related discipline
  • PLC Programming
  • Experience in delivery of automation projects
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings/specifications
  • Working knowledge of Medical Device Quality Systems within a regulated environment


Desirable:

  • Experience in computer system validation.
  • Experience with manufacturing systems
  • Experience with Database Configuration and Maintenance
  • Experience with IT Networks
