We are looking for a dynamic professional who combines expertise in Snowflake data warehousing, SQL development and Data Science to help us build and maintain a robust, scalable data infrastructure. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based data pipelines, writing complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation, and leveraging machine learning algorithms to generate insights from large datasets.
You will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
What We Expect You To Do
SQL Development & Optimization:
Write and troubleshoot SQL code and design (stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, and constraints).
Perform performance tuning and query optimization using tools like SQL Profiler and other monitoring/troubleshooting utilities.
Write efficient, complex queries against very large data sets and ensure database performance, security, and availability.
Database Redesign & Architecture:
Analyze, redesign, and implement database schemas to improve scalability, performance, and reliability.
Translate business requirements into technical designs for database integration and development.
Optimize database architecture to support evolving application and business needs.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Conduct data analysis to uncover actionable insights and support decision-making.
Create and maintain reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or other tools as required.
Data Warehousing:
Develop and maintain data pipelines using modern data warehousing tools such as Snowflake.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build ETL/ELT pipelines for data warehousing.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across data warehouses.
Database Administration:
Handle database backups, recovery, upgrades, migrations, and maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor and troubleshoot common database issues, ensuring timely resolutions.
Profile server resource usage and perform optimization as needed.
Automation & BI Tools:
Create jobs and schedules to automate ETL packages within SSIS.
Write and optimize in-application SQL statements and BI-ETL processes.
Automate tasks wherever possible, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
Collaboration & Documentation:
Document SQL processes, procedures, and database designs.
Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and other teams to gather and translate business requirements into database solutions.
Provide on-call support, resolve issues, and ensure timely follow-ups with end-users and management.
System & Tools Management:
Use tools like Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, and GitHub for database management and versioning.
Work with frameworks such as AWS, Azure, FTP/sFTP/VPN protocols, and modern relational databases.
Familiarity with API integration concepts like Web API, WCF, REST, and SOAP.
