How Your Role Fits Into Boldt
As a Senior Application Developer at The Boldt Group, you will be responsible for leading the planning, development, design, implementation, and maintenance of application systems. This role encompasses various aspects of the development engineering cycle and requires critical skills such as internal consulting, Copilot Studio, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), software development processes, Node.js, .NET, Dataverse, SQL, and software debugging. Key responsibilities include identifying user requirements, writing or reviewing code for various applications, and occasionally performing data integration work with tools like Workato and Level 2. Success in this role is demonstrated through collaboration with internal customers and ensuring our systems provide exceptional user experiences.
What You Get To Do
- Define objectives by analyzing our user needs and by visioning system features and functionality based on the needs of Boldt’s business systems.
- Work closely with our Business Analyst team to develop and improve applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout the development life cycle; complete programming by using languages and software products; design and conduct tests.
- Utilize Power Platform best practices including the use of Azure Dev Ops, Agile Methodologies, and GIT for source code management.
- Work with teams to support the product management side of applications. Test and understand the entire project as assigned.
- Complete applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; actively participate in collaboration meetings with creative ideas; solve development and production problems across our multiple environments and operating platforms.
- Support our users by developing documentation and assistance tools. Conduct training for our users when needed.
- Keep job knowledge up to date by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
- Design and Implement Integrations: Create seamless connections between various applications and systems, ensuring data flows smoothly and efficiently.
- Mentor and provide skill development resources to other team members.
What We Expect From You
- Associate's degree in computer science or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of four years of experience in systems development and in at least one programming/ scripting language, preferably PowerShell, JavaScript.
- Experience working with PowerApps - canvas apps, model driven apps, portal with multiple data sources - SharePoint, SQL, Oracle
- Solid experience in development of Business Process Flow and Approval Flow using Power Automate
- Understanding of Power Apps security capabilities, including role-based authorization.
- Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools and techniques, including the ability to design, develop, and implement automated workflows to streamline business processes.
- Experience in HTML, CSS, Node.js, .NET, JavaScript, REST and ODATA.
- Ability to work with relational database platforms (SQL, Oracle).
- Demonstrate curiosity and problem-solving abilities with focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Experience incorporating security practices.
- Basic understanding of AI Builder capabilities, proficient in integrating AI Builder into solutions, leading AI strategy and implementation
- Source code management experience using Pipelines, Microsoft Azure DevOps and GIT
- Work well in a team environment collaborating with modern development, user experience, and deployment.
- Previous experience in leading technical projects and/or people
- Professional and positive demeanor with internal and external customers.
- Integration Development: Understanding how to build, manage, and optimize integrations using Workato's platform.
- A valid driver’s license may be required. Individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check. The outcome of any MVR checks conducted may negatively impact the persons’ ability to participate in any vehicle program provided by the company, including but not limited to the ability to drive a personal vehicle on behalf of The Boldt Company or rent a vehicle through for business travel purposes.
Physical Requirements And Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position for up to eight hours. The employee occasionally is required to move to access people or workspaces. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. The ability to optimally communicate is required. The employee may occasionally move up to 15 pounds.
The working condition of this position requires the employee to work inside an office environment. The environment for which this position functions may contain scents and fragrances. May be requested to work overtime and weekends.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $79,850 - $103,316 per year. This range represents what The Boldt Company reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to: candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, alignment with market data and internal equity as well as other business and organizational needs. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work at our Appleton, WI office. If the incumbent works out of a different location, the anticipated salary range is subject to change.
