Responsbilities

We're looking for a talented Senior Android Engineer to join our team and help build a modular, scalable mobile framework that powers multiple fintech products and services. If you're passionate about modern Android development, have exceptional attention to detail, and enjoy working in a collaborative Agile environment, we’d love to hear from you. You should bring strong communication skills, thrive in a team setting, and have a continuous learning mindset, staying current with the latest trends and best practices in Android development.

• Design, build, and maintain advanced Android applications using Kotlin within a large, modular framework supporting multiple customers.
• Contribute to the architecture of a scalable Android platform that can be customized and extended across various fintech products.
• Participate in code reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback to improve code quality.
• Continuously explore, evaluate, and integrate new technologies to improve development efficiency and product performance.
• Stay current with the latest Android development trends, frameworks, libraries, and tools.
• Ensure application security and performance by adhering to industry standards and best practices.
• Collaborate on the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment.
• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
  
  

Requirements

• Proficiency in Kotlin with a deep understanding of the Android SDK.
• Hands-on experience with Android Jetpack components such as ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation, and Room.
• Solid understanding of mobile architectural patterns, including MVVM, MVP, and Clean Architecture.
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git, including familiarity with common branching strategies.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito) and UI testing tools (e.g., Espresso) for writing and maintaining tests.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with experience working on complex Android applications and modular frameworks.
• Prior experience working in Agile environments and cross-functional teams is highly valued.
• Fintech background and knowledge of EMV principles are considered strong advantages.
• Excellent command of the Greek & English language, both verbal and written.
  
  

Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience

• Experience working in Agile environments and cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito) and UI testing tools (e.g., Espresso) for designing and executing tests.
• Background in the fintech industry, preferably in the EFTPOS domain, along with a good understanding of EMV principles.
