RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Boston, MA that is seeking a Senior Android Developer.
Responsibilities:
- The Senior Android Developer will help us build omni-channel user experiences and the underlying platforms needed to support our digital presence
- Work on building entire features, taking these from concept to deployment, as part of our autonomous, cross functional teams
- Have the opportunity to contribute ideas to improve our products as well as develop your skills, learn new technologies and languages, and continue to learn
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to more junior team members
- The Senior Android Developer will collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years of professional experience developing publicly available Android apps using Kotlin or Java
- Experience with designing, developing, and maintaining Mobile applications in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of software design patterns, algorithms, and data structures
- Experience leading and mentoring junior engineers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working in an agile development environment
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and debugging
- Experience optimizing Android applications for performance and responsiveness
- Familiarity with Android SDK, Android Studio, and other relevant tools
- Experience using third-party libraries and APIs in Android development
- Knowledge of mobile landscape, architectures, trends and emerging technologies used in creating performant and resilient Android Apps
- Your advanced Git skills and respective branching strategies
- Understanding of GraphQL and RESTful APIs
- Understanding of accessibility features on Android and building accessible experiences on Android will be a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
