About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accounts Payable Analyst to join our Accounting team. This role is responsible for managing key supplier relationships and collaborating with internal business partners to ensure the efficient, accurate, and timely processing of accounts payable transactions. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of AP processes, and excellent communication abilities to enhance our financial operations.
What you’ll do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers regarding payment inquiries, discrepancies, and issue resolution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
- Oversee the full-cycle AP process including invoice receipt, verification, coding, approvals, and disbursement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Track, monitor and analyze key AP metrics to identify trends and drive process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure alignment and process efficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and present regular AP reports including, aging schedules, payment status updates, and supplier performance metrics.
- Conduct in-depth AP data analysis to support strategic decision-making, strategic planning and enhance financial transparency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting , Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a related finance function.
- Strong understanding of AP processes, internal controls, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in AP software and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage both internal and external relationships, including supplier management.
- Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis tools).
- Familiarity with procurement processes and systems (Preferred)
