Senior Accounts Administrator (12 – 14 Month Maternity Cover)
Full time Fixed Term Contract
Abley Letchford, an innovative development planning and infrastructure consultancy providing high quality, trusted services to clients throughout the UK is looking for a Senior Accounts Administrator to join our team.
Due to company growth, we are looking for a dynamic individual, to support the Business Manager and be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the business. The role will be on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will assist with ensuring that all relevant financial processes are followed, and that all financial records are accurate.
Role Requirements Include but Not Limited To:
- Reconciling and processing of banking transactions
- Sales ledger, purchase ledger and monthly account reconciliations
- Production and analysis of financial reports
- Invoice production and distribution
- Responsible for setting up and maintaining client information
- Identify and resolve any billing issues
- Managing aged debt / outstanding accounts effectively, maintaining regular client contact
- Approving supplier invoices
- Establish excellent working relationships with team members at all levels
- Responding to accounts emails and incoming queries
- Preparing monthly debit and credit journals
- Preparation of month-end checks to facilitate the production of management accounts
- VAT reporting preparation
- Perform other duties, as requested by Business Manager
Skills and Experience Required
- Relevant qualifications or qualification by experience in a similar role
- Excellent planning and organisation skills with a methodical approach to managing a varied workload
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to work under own initiative, proactive with a problem solving approach
- Fully IT literate, including excellent Excel skills (V look ups / Pivot tables)
- Ability to work in a busy environment and to adapt to the changing needs of the business
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Confident when dealing with clients
- Working knowledge of accounting systems is a necessity, preferably Xero
- Able to ensure compliance with tax and accounting rules and regulations
- Excellent attention to detail – numerate and analytical
- Honest, discreet and trustworthy

- Salary of £28,000 - £30,000

Hours
Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm (4pm early finish on Friday) with 1 hr for lunch
