ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Analyst to join our Financial Reporting Services practice unitt. This full-time position follows a hybrid work setup based in Ortigas. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations, assisting managers in overseeing client accounts and personnel, and ensuring the smooth execution of work plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement/execute and regularly update the Agreed Upon Procedures (AUPs) and Desktop procedures (DTPs) with clients
- Check and review sales, revenue, expense, and disbursement transactions recorded by Infinnum's Accounting Analyst/s
- Ensure timely and accurate transaction recording by Accounting Analyst/s
- Execute month/year end closing activities such as, but not limited to the following, and ensure compliance with set deadlines/timelines and financial statement closing procedures: a. Recording of depreciation.
- Recording of amortization of prepayments. Analysis and recording of accruals. Recording of payroll entries. Accounts analysis and recording of related adjustments, if any; ensure accounts are accurate and current. Reconciliation and monitoring of Balance Sheet accounts. Bank Reconciliation. Preparation of monthly General Ledger (GL) schedules.
- Closely coordinate with the General Accounting Team of clients on timely and proper month/year-end closing activities
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly and timely booked into the proper GL accounts and following policies and regulations.
- Perform accounts analysis, such as, but not limited to, fluctuation/variance analysis for both Balance Sheet and Income Statements; make necessary adjustments for any discrepancies noted.
- Prepare monthly Financial Statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flows) for the clients
- Prepare monthly Financial Statement Analysis for the clients, including, but not limited to, account analysis, fluctuation analysis, and business financial metrics such as Gross Margin, Net Margin, Working Capital, Current ratio, Quick ratio, etc.
- Submit and present the Financial Statements and Financial Statement Analysis to the clients
- Ensure that the client’s financial statements are prepared accurately and presented following Philippine Financial Reporting Standards Review and analyse
- Monthly Ageing Schedule of Accounts Receivables and Payables prepared by clients' Accounting Department members or by Infinnum's Accounting Analyst/s
- Identify and resolve issues/concerns encountered by Accounting Analyst/s and communicate with Team Leader
- Prepare initial report on the issues encountered with clients (IIAA report - Issues, Implications, Action Taken, and Accountable)Identify, document, and report to immediate head the issues encountered in relation to client's service engagement such as out-of-scope activities, excess hours spent for some activities which are not budgeted; propose and discuss possible solutions to issues encountered
- Attend internal Account meetings and client's meetings and assist immediate head in preparing and presenting required dashboards/reports
- Ensure that Agreed Upon Procedures (AUPs) with clients are properly executed by both clients and the Infinnum Team
- Ensure that Service Level Agreements (SLA) and project deliverables with clients are met timely
- Develop good working relationships with internal and external partners that result in improvement and strong service delivery
Qualifications
- Over 2 years of work experience, including at least 1 year of solid experience in financial reporting and analysis
- Proficient in general accounting (GA), including accruals, financial statements, and pre-payments
- Experience in non-GA BIR bookkeeping with foundational accounting knowledge
- Background in external financial audit processes
