What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in preparing accurate financial and tax reporting for a variety of clients, as well as mentoring junior staff. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and reviewing compilation (Notice to Reader) engagements and supporting financial statements
- Completing corporate tax returns (T2) with full schedules
- Preparing and reviewing personal tax filings (T1) and supporting year-end planning
- Supporting financial planning and advisory initiatives for a range of industries
- Mentoring junior team members and assisting with workflow and technical training
- Ensuring engagements meet compliance standards, including ASPE and CRA guidelines
What You Bring
- CPA designation or in the final stages of completing it
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Canadian public accounting firm
- Solid knowledge of ASPE and financial statement disclosures
- Proficiency in Caseware and TaxPrep/Profile (or similar accounting software)
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple client files and deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A proactive, results-driven approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Location
- Salary Range: $75,000 – $95,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
- Full-time, permanent position
- In-office role based in North York, ON (must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate)
