Syntax Talent Solutions is partnering with a nationally recognized real estate development firm to hire a Senior Accountant for their team in Miami, FL. This is a hybrid position supporting a billion-dollar high-rise development project from the ground up. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on real estate development or construction accounting experience, strong technical skills, and a detail-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and supporting workpapers
· Manage general ledger activity, including GAAP-compliant accruals and journal entries
· Process monthly construction loan requisitions and monitor draw schedules
· Review, code, and coordinate approval of contractor and vendor invoices
· Ensure accurate job cost tracking and reporting across multiple projects
· Assist with year-end audits and liaise with external auditors
· Provide financial data to internal stakeholders, lenders, and project partners
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with budget and project goals
· Support ad hoc and special projects assigned by management

Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
· 2-5+ years of professional accounting experience; real estate development or construction industry experience strongly preferred
· CPA or public accounting background a plus
· Strong knowledge of GAAP and job cost accounting
· High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
