Vaco Boston has partnered with a highly reputable technology solutions and they are looking to add a Sr. Accountant to their team. Hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Month-end close: responsible for general ledger month-end expense close; process closing journal entries, maintain completeness and accuracy of general ledger and create various account reconciliations
• Technical accounting: assist with research and documentation of technical accounting issues
• Participate, as needed, in business integration activities including but not limited to purchase accounting and/or setup of newly created or acquired entities
• Audit: assist with external audit and audit requests
• Tax & compliance: assist with various tax and compliance filings
• Oversee documentation and test internal controls
• Process & systems: seek to improve existing systems/processes in areas of responsibility and assist with the selection/implementation of new systems as needed
• Ad hoc projects/analyses: perform additional financial analyses or projects as necessary
• Research best practices for disseminating internal trainings, communications, etc
• Contribute to internal knowledge centers
  

Qualifications

• BS. in Accounting or Finance
• 4 years professional experience - mix of public/private required
• CPA preferred
• Excellent technical accounting skills required, including strong knowledge and experience with US GAAP;
• Proficiency in MS Office required, SAP experience preferred
• High level of proficiency
• Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment
• Demonstrated ability to be nice, smart and get things done
