As a Senior Account Manager, you will oversee and coordinate all sales and marketing activities for a significant client or specific client group. Your role will involve directly engaging with customers, gathering their information, and upselling additional products and services to meet their needs.
What You Will Do
Develop and Maintain Corporate Relationships
- Engage with executive stakeholders, procurement, supply chain, sustainability, and operations.
- Foster strong, long-term relationships to support business objectives.
Develop and Maintain a Strategic Account Strategy
- Formulate and implement a customer-centric strategic approach, including vision, workstreams, initiatives, and key influencers.
- Ensure alignment with overall business goals and customer needs.
Advocate for the Strategic Account Strategy
- Promote global consistency and continuous improvement from the customer's perspective.
- Champion the strategic account strategy within the organization.
Provide Direct Access to Caterpillar
- Serve as the single point of contact for executive access and forward-looking insights.
- Facilitate direct communication between customers and Caterpillar's leadership.
Manage Global Incentives and Rewards
- Oversee equitable incentive programs.
- Ensure effective program communications and compliance with policies.
Support Regional and Dealer Opportunities
- Coordinate corporate engagement and alignment on individual opportunities.
- Provide a global perspective to support regional and dealer initiatives.
What Skills You Will Have
Language Skills: Must be fully bilingual in
English and Spanish.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in
mining operations or technology. Sales or engineering experience.
Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Negotiating: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Account Management: Knowledge of account management; ability to manage day-to-day activities, providing services and support to existing clients.
Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.
Additional Information
This position requires the candidate
to work full-time at the Santiago office.
Domestic relocation assistance is not available.
This position may require 50% travel. Your visits will include corporate headquarters, mine sites, and other key locations. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to accompany customers on visits to Caterpillar facilities in the U.S. and around the world, including main offices, demonstration centers, and proving grounds.
