Job Title: Senior Accounts Manager
Location: UK (Hybrid Office, Remote working & Field-based)

Summary:
We are seeking a results driven Senior Sales Manager with proven experience in the hand tool and DIY sector, focused on growing and managing strategic relationships with major UK retailers including B&Q, Screwfix, Toolstation and Wickes. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and understanding of the retail hardware industry, a strong commercial mindset, and a track record of delivering profitable growth through national retail accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Account Management: Take ownership of key national retail accounts, maintaining and expanding relationships to achieve sales and margin targets.
• Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and execute our account strategies aligned with overall business goals.
• Customer Engagement: Regularly meet with buyers and category managers to present new products, promotional plans, and business reviews.
• Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations, pricing, terms, and trading agreements to maximise value for both parties.
• Sales Forecasting: Collaborate with our supply chain and finance teams to ensure accurate forecasting, planning, and stock availability.
• New Business Development: Identify opportunities to expand product listings and secure incremental shelf space or exclusive promotions.
• Category Insight: Monitor market trends and competitor activity; provide insights to support product development and pricing strategy.
• Cross-functional Leadership: Liaise with internal teams (marketing, product development, logistics) to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Performance Reporting: Prepare and present regular performance reviews and sales analysis to senior leadership and customers.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Minimum 5+ years of sales/account management experience in the hand tools, hardware, DIY retail, or similar sector.
• Strong relationships with key UK retail buying teams (B&Q, Screwfix, Wickes, etc.) are highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to grow national accounts and exceed revenue targets.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong commercial acumen with an analytical approach to sales and forecasting.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
• Proficient in Excel, CRM tools, and reporting software.
• Willingness to travel across the UK for customer meetings.
