Finance Technology Services is building a sophisticated next generation finance solution. The London team is working on creation of API-based finance platform using innovative technologies and techniques. The volume and variety of finance data involved in these Finance and Risk Functions results in one of most challenging and appropriate use cases for Data lineage, DQ, Profiling, big data technologies and cloud platform usage.

Role/Position Overview

We are looking to bring in a Senior Abinitio Metadata Developer with sufficient MDH (Metadata Hub) knowledge to work on one of the large industry wide transformation Product in Citi to move into Single ledger solution for all Citi financial products. In Global Strategic Ledger team under Finance Technology, to help the implementation of data capabilities under operational journal platform and next generation Business Rules platform using latest innovative Abinitio technologies. The Candidate is required to possess relevant design and development experience in the Tools and technologies on ETL programming. Person should be a strong team player. Exposure to Finance OR Risk Functions on the Retail Banking products or Wholesale/Investment banking is preferred. This is a significant opportunity for an experienced developer with experience in modern Abinitio platforms to move into a role working with a variety of development teams, including close collaboration with an on-site finance team.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have proven experience in development of solutions/platforms for financial markets environment. It is expected that you will have superior technical knowledge of current programming languages, technologies and other leading edge development tools

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• oDevelop Datalineage, DQS, Profiling solution for SL accounting platform involving Abinitio/DQS/MDH technologies
• oMaking complex technical and design decisions for Abinitio projects
• oUtilize in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple Applications Development areas to provide technical oversight across systems and applications
• oRequirement analysis including interaction with Business Users
• oPerform Unit Testing, System Testing for all applications developed / enhancements and ensure that all critical and high-severity bugs are addressed.
• oEngage in end-to-end system design and development processes
• oEnsure that application development and enhancement is in line with Citi’s Coding Standards.
• oPartners with multiple Technology teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals; identifies and defines necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process enhancements.
• oSolves / works a variety of high impact, high-profile problems / projects with considerable business impact through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes and industry standards.
• oProvides expertise in area and an advanced level of understanding of the principles of applications programming.
• oDevelops standards for coding, testing, debugging and implementation.
• oProviding expertise in technical analysis and solving technical issues during project delivery.
• oResponsible for applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Must Have Skills / Work Experience

• oExperience as senior level in Abinitio & Metadata hub Applications Development role
• oExperience in Datalineage and data controls
• oExperience on starting the front-end buildout from scratch by coordinating across multiple business and technology groups
• oExperience building complex single-page applications using Abinitio/Hadoop/Hive/Kafka/Oracle and modern MOM technologies
• oExperienced with Linux/Unix platform
• oExperience in SCMs like GIT; and tools like JIRA
• oFamiliar with the financial services industry and/or regulatory environments
• oConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• oWorking experience on one of the BI Tool like, power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, QlikView
• oAbility to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
