Summary

The Security Project Manager (PM) directs security projects based on a customer’s specific goals and needs. The PM will be a primary point of contact and accountability for all projects under their responsibility and will report to the Director of Program Management.


Some of the Key Tasks:

  • Act as the primary contact for the customer for all project updates, RFIs, change orders, and purchase order processing.
  • Be responsible for project forecasting and ensure the appropriate resources are allocated to ongoing and future projects.
  • Work closely with the Pre-Sales Design Team and Account Managers to ensure project deliverables are well defined and customer expectations are met.
  • Be the face and primary point of contact for all security projects within their assigned portfolio.
  • Participate in the Sales to Operations turnover meetings and manage the Installation to Service handover phase of a project.
  • Be responsible for the RFP (Request for Proposal) subcontractor process and is expected to solicit all vendor bids for accuracy, resource availability, technical capabilities and applicable discounts.
  • Manage all subcontractor duties and obtain timely project updates from all field resources.
  • Work with the procurement department for compliance with project requirements such as the bill of materials (BOM) and schedule.
  • Proactively and responsibly manage project budget and is expected to keep project financials on budget.
  • Create and manage all project schedules and ensure Prosegur schedules align with the customer’s expectations.
  • Be responsible for identifying local code(s) requirements, city/state/country laws, ADA compliance, and security industry best practices to minimize risks to projects.
  • Ensure Health & Safety practices are followed by both Prosegur field technicians and subcontractors.
  • See all projects through to their completion with project schedules and trackers and communicating updates to ensure all stakeholders are well advised of project status.
  • Produce close-out documentation including completed trackers, warranty letters, as-built drawings and final invoicing.


Position Requirements:

  • More than 5 years of experience in Project Management in a technical field.
  • More than 3 years of experience in Electronic Security Systems including access control, video security and intrusion.
  • Have a solid understanding of structured network and fiber optic cabling.
  • Have a working knowledge of networks and networked device programming and installation.
  • Understand construction projects, job safety, and be able to assess site conditions in various phases of construction.
  • Bachelor of electronics engineering or similar technical area is preferred.
  • Must be able to travel.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.
  • A project manager or industry certification (CPP, PSP or PMP) is preferred.
  • Possesses knowledge of MS Office suite and Visio.
  • Possesses knowledge of financial statements.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with managers, coworkers, customers, and vendors in an intelligent, clear, concise, and professional manner.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships, understand and educate internal and external customers.
