Personnel shall have experience in reviewing and analyzing IT System Logs, responding and managing incident response, and coordinating with the systems’ ISSOs and the NOAA Cybersecurity Center (NCSC).

Personnel shall have Database Management System (DBMS) administration/design/implementation experience. Several members of SMC shall have hands-on experience with Structured Query Language (SQL), noSQL DBMS tools, Splunk, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools. Experience with the latest and advanced programming languages is required (e.g. Python, C++, JavaScript, HTML, and PHP).

Personnel are expected to be available “On-Call” 24x7x365 for incident response and other emergency actions when requested, but are not expected to be on site 24x7x365.
