All Domain Data Fabric Network Engineer

Key Role:

Use your data fabric and network routing domain knowledge to help our clients develop novel solutions to solve complex systems of systems challenges for next-generation proliferated satellite constellations, requiring a high degree of automated mission management and mission processing services that will rely on automated workflow management along with artificial intelligence and machine learning to deliver mission data to users at machine speed. Apply model-driven design principles to develop and demonstrate the capability of designs to meet the client’s mission performance requirements. Use digital engineering tools and principles to decompose, develop, and support the management of performance budgets. Apply agile development principles to develop roadmaps and work packages that align with project priorities and make use of collaboration and management software tools to manage project execution. Support proposal teams and contribute to or lead the authoring of technical content. Identify and pursue expanded or new technical scope with current or new customers. Develop technical products to support the capture of additional work through viewpoints, white papers, or other intellectual capital. Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients through technical excellence. Efficiently communicate technical information to senior and executive leadership and clients. Communicate with high technical precision through succinct presentations, engineering reviews, and technical briefings and convey complex technical concepts simply to non-technical audiences.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with national security satellite systems for SIGINT or GEOINT and with the TCPED process, as it relates to C5ISR systems
  • Experience with programming languages like SQL, Scala, Python, or Java
  • Experience designing cloud or on-premises agnostic scalable data architectures spanning enterprise to edge systems for space or ground architectures
  • Experience developing for Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, or Data Lakehouses
  • Experience developing data extraction, transformation, and loading services and data orchestration pipelines and workflow automation
  • Experience modeling complex data routing networks
  • Experience optimizing routing around dynamic channel bandwidth constraints
  • Knowledge of network routing protocol stack
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree


Additional Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with engineering for cloud-based technologies
  • 1+ years of experience with the development of proliferated satellite architectures for either commercial or government space or ground systems
  • Experience with data fabric-related technologies like Confluent
  • Experience in Agile and DevSecOps software development
  • Experience developing satellite modeling and simulation scenarios
  • Experience with descriptive modeling tools like Cameo Enterprise Architecture and the SysML language
  • Experience developing solutions in classified environments within the Intelligence Community or Department of Defense
  • Knowledge of automation techniques using artificial intelligence and machine learning
  • Security+ Certification

Respond to and resolve cybersecurity incidents, and proactively prevent the reoccurrence of these incidents. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts. Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Mentor or supervise employees and technical competencies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting a Computer Incident Response Team, Cyber Network Operations, or Security Operations Center (SOC) operations for a large and complex enterprise
  • Experience with Intelligence Driven Defense, Cyber Kill Chain methodology, or MITRE ATT&CK framework
  • Knowledge of industry-accepted standards for incident response actions and best practices for SOC operations
  • Knowledge of security operation tools, including SIMs or DCAP analysis
  • Knowledge of intrusion set tactics, techniques, and procedures
  • Top Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED and 12+ years of experience supporting Information Technology (IT) or Intelligence Operations (IO), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience supporting Information Technology (IT) or Intelligence Operations (IO)

The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
