Description We are looking for a skilled Security Network Engineer to join our team in Southfield, Michigan. In this role, you will design and maintain secure network infrastructures to safeguard critical systems and data. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a commitment to implementing best practices in network security.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement secure network solutions to support organizational goals while mitigating risks.
- Deploy and manage firewalls, antivirus systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security incident management tools.
- Monitor network activity to identify vulnerabilities and respond swiftly to potential threats.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to ensure system integrity.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure compliance with industry regulations and certifications.
- Investigate and respond to security breaches, developing strategies to minimize impact and recover quickly.
- Maintain detailed documentation of security protocols, system changes, and incident reports.
- Provide training and guidance to teams on best practices for network and information security.
- Support the development of proactive measures to enhance the organization's security posture. Requirements - Proficiency in configuring and managing security tools such as Cisco ASA, Check Point firewalls, and authentication systems.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, including Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, firewalls, and hardware security systems.
- Knowledge of configuration management and securing computer hardware.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and industry standards for network security.
- Ability to conduct thorough security audits and penetration tests.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents.
