Summary

Our client is seeking a seasoned Security Professional to provide expert security support to clients within the Intelligence Community (IC) and the Department of Defense (DoD). The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional critical thinking, independence, and discretion in addressing diverse security needs for classified programs. This role involves guiding clients through compliance with federal laws, Intelligence Community Directives, and the NISPOM Rule. Candidates must possess a strong understanding of security operations and regulations, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide security guidance and support to clients in compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM Rule), Intelligence Community Directives, and other applicable regulations.
  • Manage and process security clearances and access requests using systems such as NISS, DISS (NBIS), and Talon.
  • Act as the Contract Program Security Officer (CPSO), ensuring customer-cleared employees adhere to personnel and security reporting requirements.
  • Maintain operational knowledge of federal laws, Executive Orders, and IC Directives governing security practices.
  • Travel extensively in the D.C. Metro area and to domestic locations to support client needs.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse teams and provide high-quality solutions with minimal supervision.


Must Haves:

  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • CI Polygraph completed within the last 5 years.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) or Contract Program Security Officer (CPSO).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Current FSO Certification for Possessing Facilities.
  • Proficiency with NISS, DISS (NBIS), and Talon systems.
  • Competence in MS Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Professional appearance and ability to perform tasks without physical or medical limitations.

  • NCMS ISP® Certification.
  • Completion of Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) STEPP training courses, including:
  • FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities
  • Establishing an Insider Threat Program
  • Insider Threat Awareness
  • Personally Identifiable Information (PII) Training
  • Cyber Awareness Training
  • NISS External User Training


Location: Primarily in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area with flexibility for limited remote opportunities.


Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 annually.
