Summary

JOB SUMMARY: To plan, direct, coordinate, train and supervise Security Officers, operations, and prepare work schedules. The Manager will visit posts and meet with officers to ensure proper procedures are being followed. The Manager will train officers as needed, upload new officers to the CLEET portal, and update post orders with the Security Manager.

Direct Reports: Security Supervisors, Lead Security Officers, Security Officer Floaters, Security Officers.

Essential Job Functions

  • Punctual and dependable attendance.
  • Supporting Goodwill’s mission by ensuring compliance with CLEET regulations and all state/federal requirements of GICO’s programs.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise security officers at Contract sites.
  • Manage and maintain all security supplies and equipment.
  • Plan, assign and evaluate the work performance of security personnel.
  • Assist with research, analysis of request for proposals to continue the growth of the security contracts division for the organization.
  • Ensure contract obligations are being met.
  • Analyze division operational and administrative procedures to identify efficiencies and increase productivity as a standard of operation.
  • Assist in development of short- & long-term planning projects.
  • Assist with development of security training program design.
  • Maintain confidential and professional services to employees and consumers on contact.
  • Ensure performance evaluations are completed for all security employees.
  • Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Attend meetings, visit customer sites to determine operational needs and adherence to contract requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections of security posts to ensure posts are orderly, required logs/incident reports are maintained and general housekeeping in appearance standards meet requirements in conjunction with Security Supervisor.
  • Plan and coordinate security operations for specific GCO and special events.
  • Create reports for management for various security matters.
  • Assist with annual budget for security operations.
  • Serve as a liaison between Goodwill Central Oklahoma (GCO) and the Council for Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET), for the delivery of unarmed security training.
  • Maintain certification as a certified CLEET trainer, level 1&2.
  • Offer good customer experience in deliverables for continuous improvement and expansion opportunities for our mission to security contracts division.
  • Administer First Aid and CPR if required.
  • Review and be familiar with Goodwill of Central Oklahoma safety policies, programs and procedures and adhere to all safety rules, regulations and safety codes. Attend safety training and meetings and report any unsafe work conditions, accidents or injuries immediately.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties and projects as required by management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, required.
  • 3 years of supervision/management experience required. Prior experience of CLEET, law enforcement or military service, preferred. Previous experience in reporting and emergency response.
  • Valid CLEET Phase I and II certification issued by the State of Oklahoma, required within 60 days of employment.
  • CLEET Instructor Certification, preferred. Must pass OSBI/DOC background check
  • Must be 21 years old.
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and Car Insurance Verification, required.
  • Must pass MVR check and maintain a good driving record.
  • Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
  • Reliable transportation and communication required.

Work Environment

  • Work in a climate-controlled environment most of the time. When filling in for security officer vacancies, works in all weather conditions such as rain, snow, sleet, heat and cold.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours as needed which may require various security posts including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Low-moderate noise level.
  • Works 40 hours per week or more when required
