Job Title: Security Engineer – Information Systems

We are seeking a skilled IS Security Engineer to join our client’s dynamic information security team. This role involves maintaining, monitoring, and enhancing security systems to safeguard critical information and ensure compliance with established security protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security system logs and reports for suspicious activities and trends (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, mail gateways, web filters).
• Configure, maintain, and administer security products such as firewalls, encryption systems, data loss prevention, and SIEM systems.
• Respond to security incidents and alerts as part of the Incident Response Team.
• Conduct risk assessments and security reviews, recommending controls to align with the overall security strategy.
• Manage patch systems and vulnerabilities, working with internal and external teams to remediate risks.
• Perform forensic analysis for internal investigations and respond to audit findings.
• Evaluate and recommend security tools, vendors, and solutions.
• Provide technical input on security-related IS projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in information security.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP) or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with Cisco routing/switching, Active Directory, firewalls, antivirus, encryption technologies, and vulnerability scanning.
• Experience with security event monitoring, penetration testing tools, data loss prevention, and mobile device management.
• Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS and Azure.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Microsoft SCCM, Tenable vulnerability scanners, and other security tools.
• Additional security certifications are a plus.
