As part of our Technology Office, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and report directly to our Lead of Cloud Engineering & IT Security, playing a key role in shaping a secure and resilient tech foundation for our digital bank.

Your Impact

• Secure and harden our cloud infrastructure (GCP) using tools like Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
• Work closely with engineering and DevOps teams to embed security into infrastructure, application design, and delivery pipelines
• Operate and enhance our security monitoring systems, including Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM) and Netskope (DLP/endpoint)
• Conduct external attack surface analysis, including DNS/public endpoint scanning
• Support and respond to security audits, insurance assessments, and regulatory reviews
• Define and implement detection rules, alerting workflows, and triage procedures
• Rehearse and improve incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans
• Stay ahead of threats and vulnerabilities, and apply practical fixes

What makes you a great fit?

• 5+ years in a hands-on security engineering role, ideally in cloud-native or fintech environments
• Strong knowledge of GCP, Terraform, CI/CD, and container security
• Experience operating SIEM tools (Sentinel, Splunk) and endpoint protection platforms (e.g., Netskope, CrowdStrike, etc.)
• Ability to code and automate security tooling and processes
• Familiarity with network protocols, web security, and vulnerability management
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with developers, infra, auditors, and leadership
• Native or bilingual proficiency in English, German language of great advantage
• Strong interpersonal skills, sensitivity and understanding of cross-cultural complexities
• Self-driven but still a team player and who thrives in a challenging role where a high-capacity level is necessary
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems as they arise and ability to work under pressure
