The Central Investigations team is dedicated to keeping users of the Meta technologies safe. We pride ourselves in helping prevent harm by applying subject matter expertise to identify and mitigate potential safety-related threats to keep Meta and its users more secure. Our team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced investigator who will have the opportunity to work on some of the most meaningful, high-visibility risks the company faces and have a substantial impact. We are seeking an investigator with experience in understanding and mitigating issues around organized criminal groups and other violent groups and harms. In addition to having a demonstrated investigative and analytical background, we are seeking an investigator who has experience with NORAM-specific problems, issues, and threat landscape, and who is passionate about protecting people. The successful candidate will have the capacity to assess and analyze large amounts of data in order to identify sources of potential threats and abuses, operate independently in a fast-paced environment, and proactively collaborate with teams across the company.Bachelor's degree 8+ years of professional experience in investigations or analysis in law enforcement, security, risk, or safety domains Experience working with sensitive issues that include graphic violence, a variety of religious and political views, and/or adult content Experience and inclination to protect highly confidential information Available for after-hours and weekend work Maintain effective communication skills Fluent in Spanish Investigative or analytical experience related to organized crime and adjacent harms Subject matter knowledge on organized crime and illicit drug trafficking, especially pertaining to various social media platforms, analytical tools, and online research tools Analytical and investigative skills combined with the capacity to quickly assess large amounts of data in order to detect critical and credible information Knowledge of data tools such as SQL, Python, or other data analytics programming coding languages and data visualization tools Experience conducting open source investigations and/or investigations on behalf of a technology company
